Samsung finishes the development of the world’s first DDR4 DRAM

Although DDR4 DRAM is not expected to be in anyone’s computer system until the beginning of 2012, Samsung is already done developing it. The new DDR4 modules will not only be faster than their DDR3 predecessor, but they are going to run using less power as well.

In order to accomplish the lower power consumption of the modules, Samsung is using the 30nm-class process technology.

Now you may be wondering how much faster the new DRAM is compared to the current DDR3. We can’t know for sure, until the production of actual units starts, but here are some initial figures for you. The speed of data transfers that DDR4 DRAM can achieve is 2.133Gbps (gigabits per second) at 1.2V, compared to the DDR3 DRAM, which can only pump out 1.6Gbps at either 1.35V or 1.5V

The modules make use of a new circuit architecture, which helps them make the jump from 1.6Gbps all the way up to 3.2Gbps. This is tremendous improvement compared to the usual speeds of 1.6Gbps and 800Mbps for DDR3 and DDR2 DRAM respectively. In addition, when used in notebooks, the new DDR4 DRAM is expected to be 40% more energy efficient than the commonly used 1.5V DDR3 modules.

This is quite useful if you want to put the PC away from your HDTV or monitor for whatever reason, and I am pretty sure you can find one one.

KFA2 NVIDIA GTX460 WHDI is just an ordinary GTX 460 but with wireless antennas. It features 1024 MB of RAM, 256-bit memory interface and a processor clocked at 1.35Ghz.

I have to admit, the card’s industrial design looks awesome! It will be available for sale in the coming weeks in Europe, with the price still unknown.

Remove Tagged Photos from Top of New Facebook Profile

The New Facebook Profile now comes with some cool improvements. It involves a stream of five photos displayed at the top of user profile. The photo streams shows the recently tagged photos or photos from profile picture album of the user. Facebook hasn’t yet any option to disable and remove the photos at the top of the profile. But you can remove a specific photo from appearing at the top of Facebook new profile. This will help you to clean the photos from any wrongly untagged images, pictures of spam nature, or simply photos that you don’t want others to see directly on Profile page.

Procedure to Remove Tagged Photos on Top of New Facebook Profile

1) First login to your Facebook account.

2) Roll over your mouse on the photo and click the “x” that floats in the top-right corner.

3) Now the photo will be hidden from view. but you can still find the photo on your photos page.

4) Another way: You can change your privacy settings, so that nobody can see the tagged photos at the top of the profile.

5) To do this, choose the “Privacy Settings” option from the account option present at the top of your Facebook page.

6) Now select “Customize Settings” in the “Sharing on Facebook” section.

7) Then hit the “Edit Settings” for “Photos and videos I’m tagged in” option.

Now select the new privacy settings for “Who can see photos and videos I’m tagged in” from the drop-down list.

9) Select “Friends Only” option, so except your friends, no one else can see the photos.

10) Click on “Okay” when you’re done.

Google Scribe to Improve your Text Typing & Spelling

Google Scribe is a text completion service offered by Google. Now you can use Google’s auto-completion powers for more than just searching. This new service lets the web fill out your sentences for you in a dedicated editing tool. Apart from it, Google Scribe auto-types anywhere on the web with a bookmarklet.

Google Scribe is very beneficial for those users who have typing problems. The program includes the quick related text suggestion or phrase completion suggestion prompted based on the information users have typed in a document. This will reduce the typing mistakes of the users. You can see these suggestions in a pop down list. You just need to select the related word/phrases by pressing enter or the relevant number key.

The language menu allows you to choose your preferred language. You can find the language menu in the toolbar above the text area. The program by default, shows the suggestions of user type. You can change the option from “Always” to “On demand”, if you want only the occasional help offered by Google Scribe. Currently the tool is only available in English, though the presence of a language drop-down box strongly suggests others will be available very soon. How to Reset the iPhone Passcode [Tutorial]
